Yesterday was our eldest niece’s wedding day. It was a fabulous day. A very relaxed, super hot day (the hottest day of the year so far – I’m glad I didn’t have to wear a suit!) and it was great to see them get married.

So now the dancing is over and confetti swept away, the bride and groom are settling into married life and I can show the invitations I designed for them.

Bespoke wedding invitation.

They wanted a simple design with a floral theme. Kirsty was planning on having white flowers in her bouquet, but hadn’t decided a specific flower, so I illustrated a simple garland with leaf trail. I opted to print the invitations on a green/brown background with a dark brown and white details on a textured card. They were printed as postcards to keep print costs low. The front design had their names and the wedding date, with different reverses for the all-day and evening only invites.
